The Cincinnati State Surge beat Clark State 107-45 on Saturday afternoon.
As a team, Cincinnati State outrebounded their opponents 57-21 while scoring 41 points off of 26 Clark State turnovers. Five players scored in double figures for the Surge, led by Karriem Baker, who came off the bench to score 24 points and a game high 15 rebounds. In his first game back since Nov. 9 due to eligibility issues, point guard Thomas Jackson finished with 20 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Marquis Wilson scored 15 points with 8 assists and 4 steals. Like Baker, forward Cody Martin also came off the bench to record a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Anton Hutchins also finished with 11 points.
Improving to 16-6 overall with a 4-2 record in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, Cincinnati State returns to conference play on Wednesday, Feb. 8 against Edison Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
